[LugBS] ALSA PC speaker output

Ciao,
da quando sono passato da Fedora Core 6 a Gentoo ho un PC a mio avviso
estremamente piu' pulito e performante (oltre che con solo quello che
davvero voglio), ma 'sto dannato ALSA ha deciso che l'uscita audio di
default e' il PC speaker e non le cuffie.
Potete immaginare il risultato.
La cosa buffa e' che, ad esempio, gli mp3 si sentono "correttamente",
ma a volume bassissimo e da un'uscita che disturba i vicini (quindi non
utilizzabile).
La scheda installata (integrata) e' la seguente:

Dopo aver letto un po' di documentazione, aver molto googollato ed aver
giocherellato con alsamixer ancora di piu' non sono venuto a capo di
nulla. Qualcuno ha suggerimenti?

PS: Gentoo su un PC totalmente diverso (VIA EN1000) non da questo
problema; ne deduco sia un'impostazione di questo driver/PC.
PS2: Losezozz XP sul medesimo PC non ha questo problema, indi non e' un
problema H/W.
