	Prova a riabilitare almeno debug mentre fai questo lavoro.
Ovviamente devi sapere dove syslog (che deve essere attivo altrimenti il
debug te lo perdi) mette quello che pppd gli manda.

	      option, pppd will attempt to initiate a connection;
	      if  no  reply  is received from the peer, pppd will
	      then just wait passively for  a  valid  LCP  packet
	      from  the	 peer,	instead	 of  exiting, as it would
	      without this option.

	In ogni caso NON ti serve, prova a levarla. Probabilmente non
avendo subito risposta lui si mette li' ad aspettare e l'altro butta giu'
dopo un po'.
