maledetto fdisk!
Stasera avevo la necessità di formattare un hd usb esterno in fat32 per renderlo compatibile con i vari sistemi operativi (windows, mac, linux..)
Agendo con fdisk ho usato il comando "o create a new empty DOS partition table" direttamente sul disco usb, sudo fdisk /dev/sdf. Poi mi sono fidato dell'avviso

sectors (command 'u').
ed ho usato il comado "u" ed infine "w".
The partition table has been altered!

The kernel still uses the old table. The new table will be used at
the next reboot or after you run partprobe(8) or kpartx(8)
A questo punto volevo creare la partizione, ma fdisk non era in grado di leggere il device usb
sudo fdisk /dev/sdf
Unable to read /dev/sdf
e quindi ho riavviato ed è cominciato il disastro
error loading operating system
Ho sbagliato qualche comando?? Non mi sembra, comunque la tabella delle partizioni è indipendente per ogni disco: sdf disco usb, sdb disco di sistema, non dovrebbe risentirne!?
