Problema:
In pratica anche se vedo nell'fdisk una
partizione, non c'e' in /dev
Qualcuno mi spiga come risolvere il
problema?

brainld root # fdisk /dev/hda

The number of cylinders for this disk is set to 39703.
There is nothing wrong with that, but this is larger than 1024,
and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (e.g., old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs
   (e.g., DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)

Command (m for help): p

Disk /dev/hda: 20.4 GB, 20490559488 bytes
16 heads, 63 sectors/track, 39703 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1008 * 512 = 516096 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 1 969 488344+ 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/hda2 970 20345 9765504 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 20346 39703 9756432 83 Linux

Command (m for help): q

brainld root # mkfs.ext3 /dev/hda3
mke2fs 1.35 (28-Feb-2004)
Could not stat /dev/hda3 --- No such file or directory

The device apparently does not exist; did you specify it correctly?
brainld root #

Grazie
